 The sad story of how just TWO tables have sold for a charity dinner in honour of a Welsh rugby great battling dementia
Billy Boston is revered around the world and hails from Cardiff's Tiger Bay, but it seems his home city has forgotten him
The Welsh Charitables RFC, who have former Lions flanker Terry Cobner as chairman and JPR Williams as patron, have organised a dinner at Cardiff's Mercure Holland House Hotel on Friday, October 27, for rugby league legend Billy Boston as he battles the onset of dementia.
Boston is a revered figure in rugby league having moved to Wigan in 1953 after having a short spell in union with Pontypridd and Neath.
Rugby fans and companies wishing to get involved can book their tickets to be at this special event. It’s £55 a head and this includes a five-course meal and coffee.

All of the money raised will go to the Welsh Charitables RFC Benevolent Fund.
