Crickey, it's cutting it close to the bone on the timing. Although there is no real reason why a season ticket cannot be produced for part of a season.
If it still offers a discount on the remaining games, it still fullfills the same purpose whether it be for all home games or all games minus one.
In fact at this late stage, it would seam sensible to just let people get a standard ticket for the opening game.
