Not meaning to step on the toes of Poplar Panther, but...
NEW PODCAST
I have a new podcast which will run throughout the 2013 season, with news, features, interviews etc from clubs in London and the South:
Episode 1 - A Testing Year: www.spreaker.com/user/ianramsdale/a_testing_year
CHANGES
With pan-BBC changes to BBC Local Radio schedules, BBC London Sport has had it's airtime cut - so there is no space for a regular rugby league show. I've therefore decided to do one independently.
SERIES FUTURE
it's very much a work-in-progress - but as you'll hear (I hope) the figures from the game are still happy to talk to me and give me the interviews and stories. It's far from "bbc quality" at the moment, but I am working on plans.
The link above is it's current home. I'm still investigating a dedicated website/hosting site, getting it on itunes, and also live streaming of programmes in the future (and maybe video). If you're a web-guru, I'd love to hear from you about any of this you may be able to help with.
CONTRIBUTING
I'm also looking for fans to contribute each week, by joining me on the phone. If you message me your details, we'll get that set up. Your comments and feedback are always appreciated, I am also hoping to set up a dedicated email address for your contributions. You can always tweet @ianramsdale (for now).
EXTRAORDINARY RUGBY
In Episode 2, next week, I'm also looking for your suggestions for "characterisation names" of the Broncos/Skolars/Hemel (and other southern rugby league club) players - in the style of the RFL's extraordinary rugby theme.
They've called Kieran Dixon - The London Phantom, what other suggestions have you for the other players?!
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and thanks in advance to anyone that clicks the link and listens. Needless to say, the more popular it is, the more potential it has.
Fingers crossed for a positive year, on many levels.
Rammo (off the radio).

CONTENT
There's 30mins of discussion about Broncos, then the other features. I'd be interested to know what content you'd prefer to listen to (omitting the fact that it could be different if results/discussion was more positive) - the discussion and chat (although it's similar and in far less depth than something like RLfans) or if you want more/prefer the feature interviews etc.
INTERVIEWS
I do intend to do some more interviews with club personnel so, gutterfax, I will be asking your question. I battle against my own diary, and the fact that I'm no longer getting all this stuff on the BBC - yet, I've not had an interview request turned down yet, so that's promising. Nigel Wood on next week.

Brilliant effort and committment Rammo, thanks for your continuing support from all Broncos fans. Whilst interviews are welcome, I would like to see a debate between fans and coaches and administrators on many of the issues discussed on this site, a mini fans forum if you will. Perhaps 2 fans and a coach and administrator. Not necessarily criticising, just debating current issues of concern, notably the current wretched form when this was supposed to be the year they finally got things together. Perhaps you could have fan debates with each other. It would be lively!

another good listen mate....
On the subject of questioning the club, it would seem that you've already answered my question, in that the rent is going up so we are off. The Maths are that if we are paying 200k a year, then that's less than Harlequins geton the gate at one of their league games and therefore, we are now just an inconvenience.
Still, let's hope wherever they go, they don't make the same mistake they made in 1996,97,2000, 2002 and 2006 and just stick posts in the ground and expect people to flock to see them.

I'm looking for a few Broncos fans to join me to record a discussion about the club/season/future for one of my podcasts - a few people in a room discussing the current sitations on and off the field.
I am going to ask Broncos and RFL is they'd like to be part of it - yet I suspect with my programme being merely more than a fans podcast, my request may be turned down.
I also don't have the BBC resources of being able to get a PA system, all the microphones etc - so it wouldn't be like the old programme I did at the pub on the southbank. It looks like being a fans forum, but possibly without anyone accountable there to answer questions - so just a discussion and opinion.
It's likely to be in a pub/room in central London on an evening 8pm ish on:
Wednesday 12th June or
Tuesday 18th June.
If you're interested;
1: Please email rldownsouth@gmail.com - and say which day you're free.
2: Please email this message to any of your friends who may be interested - but won't read the forum.
3. If you know of, or have access to a room or pub(?!) in central London and you may be able to offer it's use for an hour on the above dates, let me know.
Your help, assistance and listenership is always appreciated.
