Keighley Cougars are Delighted to announce the capture of Wigan half back Scott Leatherbarrow on a 1 year deal. The 21 year old has been a regular in the Warriors U20 squad in the 2012 season after joining the club from the famous Wigan St Patrick Club.
Head coach Paul March said "Scott had other offers from a number of Championship clubs and it's pleasing that he choose the Cougars with Sam Obst returning to Australia and Jy-Mel Coleman asking to leaving last week, he will have a big role to play in 2013
Scott is a very good organizer and has a good kicking game, and I think he'll fit right in to the style of rugby we will be playing next year."
Scott said "I'm looking forward to teaming up with the Squad in November and showing all Cougar fans what I can do on the field and help the Cougars improve on last year. "
Good signing. Coming from Wigan he will be well schooled and I think he played in Wigan's 9's squad last year which was on Premier Sports. I still think we need another experienced half back. With Coleman looking like he's gone I still think we're short.
Think scott signed for warrington at 16 was there till 19 but suffered some bad shoulder injuries nice lad good attitude Good luck to the Lad played well for wigan 20s this year
