RIP, sadly only ever watched him in old finals on DVD but he and his brother among the rest of the great 50s team adorn a place I call my Hull FC corner.

Attended at the Boulevard when Bill Drake arrived and watched his development to become a prominent member of the most dominant forward pack I have seen fielded by Hull which led to their great success in the fifties.
