| Watching your games this year at the Stobart on TV has been a bit of an eye opener for me. I thought most of your fans would stick by Saints but the amount of empty seats on view have shocked me. Why is it they won't go the extra couple of miles down the road to Widnes?
Next year is a massive year for Saints with the new ground opening (which puts Wire to shame I am honest to say!).
But going to the match is a routine and when you stop going other things occupy your leisure time. Are all the stay away fans gonna suddenly return from exile and fill that magnificent stadium?

| Yes, of course they will.
Do we have to have this debate again?

I've said it before, I'll say it again, you get no walk ups in Widnes. So those who are not season ticket holders, can't make the decision to walk up half an hour before. Those who go to the match then head on for a night out at the pub to meet up with those who don't go, will probably just go see their mates. Anyone without a car is less likely to go. Teenagers who go in groups on their own would probably not go.
You say it's a few miles, but a few miles make a huge difference. The difference with next year is the stadium will be moved a few miles, but walk ups will happen from the opposite side of town.
Having said all that, when you look at the home averages for attendance

Saints average 7851, which is not too shabby at all. Especially when you look at others who still get less than us.

| Defo, and i think there will be quite a few of the Wigan and Wembely match only types who get tempted to come to more games
I think the corporate sales alone will help the crowds rise from this current season.

If the cameras were on the other side where they used to be you would see a very full north stand as well as the east stand behind the sticks. We can't help where we have been allocated seats at Widnes. Everyone knew we would be down on numbers. If you don't have transport then you are stuck as to how to get there. I know there are some stadium buses but they are not always convenient for some. Luckily I get a lift so I have no problem in getting there. Widnes may not seem all that far away but it's further than you think when you are trying to get there after work. etc. I am sure crowds will be greatly improved next year. I know many regulars who are finding it almost impossible to get there on time but will be back next year.

I catch the Saints rugby bus and it goes from the centre of town at 5.30pm, 6.00pm, 6.30pm and 7.00pm. (There may be a 5.00pm one too, I can't remember) Three buses back again, two of which are waiting for fans straight after the match. Some of the people who get on my bus have already caught a bus into town from elsewhere. The only difficulty for people using the rugby bus is if they work late and can't get into town first. Otherwise, it really couldn't be more convenient. The cost is great too. £40 for every home match of the season works out at a very silly price per trip. It's also a good atmosphere on the bus. I've got to know some new people while travelling on there. Oh, and we have the chance of seeing the progress on the new stadium each time we travel too!

| I know many who went to two games (Warrington all ticket, then Harlequins and the 'ticket fiasco') and never went back. I only came back because I'm a die-hard, I fully understand why many are leaving it until next season. I have never in my life witnessed such an unorganised shambles at a sports event as Saints at Widnes if you don't have a season ticket.

| Saints will average 12-13000 next year with band wagoners and away fans coming to our NEW stadium in the first year?
The problem will be in the second year keeping the intrest up?
A top signing in the mould of Newlove,Sculthorpe & Lyon would put bums on seats? Who i don't know?
Can't wait for next year already

I think we'll average between 13-14k next season.
An extra 2-3k (we have been averaging c.11k at KR, I'm ignoring Widnes) from the new stadium is definitely achievable given the facilities and location.
Would be really interesting to know what crowds the club are budgeting for.
