He is an unusual chairman in Super League in the sense that He can also see the bigger picture for the game in general. Mr McManus would in fact receive my vote to be next chairman of the RFL.

This bit caught my eye:

It would appear he still views these two organisations as mutually exclusive!!
I can't imagine Mr Barwick, in a previous role.....or indeed anyone in that sport, referring to [i"Football [uand[/u the Premier League"[/i!!

I remain to be convinced that there is enough 'vision' within the SDL to see the bigger picture!!

In fairness though Barwick was the chairman of the FA - there was a different chairman at the Premier League. Think there are certainly pro's and con's in the RFL and SLE being two separate organisations but having the same chairman.

The bit that caught my eye was -

He is referring to the proposed new league structure, that Mr Leneghan and others appear to now be against. You have to be concerned for our Sport if so many club chairmen/owners didn't appear to know what they were voting for.
