I think it's time to move on now. We lost.
Hopefully we'll learn not to switch off in the last couple of minutes as we did against Saints because of a bad decision. We could if still won the game after Bentham decided the drop goal didn't go over.
It was a much improved overall performance from us. One we should use to help us kick on and focus on the rest of the season starting on Thursday against Hull.. If we feel sorry for ourselves we'll lose.
Bring on the challenge to claim the other silverware on offer.
They're hardly going to be in a better frame of f mind than us after their loss to Salford and although they have had the rest it could be s game where the team that starts better wins because the other starts feeling sorry for themselves and under performs. A real test of both sides character.
we are out of the cup because of him!!!!! the players played their hearts out yesterday and some will be leaving at the end of this season, might of been their final chance to get to wembley or win something. faiumu was in tears
Yes time to move on, but still smarting from some of Benthams decisions yesterday.
Why didn't the incompetant clown go to the video ref for the Danny DG, he went "upstairs" for every other score we had
Why did he penalise Jerry when the Saints player had clearly lost control of the ball and was more bothered about getting it back under his control than getting up
Why penalise Wardle who was being held down/back by Lomax
Why was the Lunt try disallowed
How come Saints players clearly in offside positions weren't penalised when we were going for a DG after the clown in the middle had been penalising us for fun
I don't pay good money to go to a match to watch it decided by an inept arrogant clown in the middle, unfortunately the RFL couldn't give a monkeys and don't see the need to improve the standards of our officials and clowns like him and Childs are allowed to carry on regardless. Hope we don't get either of these 2 incompetent clowns again this season, let the fans sticking up for Bentham after yesterdays performance suffer him and the other incompetant idiot Childs for the remaining games of the season.
Anyway, I thought we played well yesterday, after a slow start we picked our game up and could and should have won what was a good/exciting game of RL regardless of the clown in the middle. Carry on improving like this and we'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.
No doubt I'll have calmed down before Thursday's game, unless that is we get one of the afore mentioned clowns officiating.
Quotebrearley84="brearley84"cant move on, still fuming
bentham should be stood down for a few games.

No. You are out of the cup because Ferres got himself sent off.
I'm sure Anderson will make sure they're over it (even if I'm not!!). I was worried about the short turn around before the Hull game considering they would have the full week, but now I'm quite happy. Best thing that can happen is to get straight back out there.
Interesting game this, both clubs will be smarting from close cup losses. Hull have home advantage with a significantly longer recovery period between games and I think we should be looking to win this fixture, assuming we can sort our right edge defence out which has been awful this season and a real Achilles heel for us. If we can be in the game with 20 to go your team should fatigue with the short turnaround and we should go onto win it. Ellis back and Ferres out only strengthens this argument.
With the game on TV and on a Thursday night, I imagine an even poorer away attendance by Huddersfield than usual, which would be disappointing considering you finished top of the league last year.
Sick of moving on! I'm sick of it! Why don't we stand up show out disgust! That is why the Fanzine are getting a protest going! Things need to change in our sport!
We will move on, it just takes a bit of time to get over what happened to us yesterday, but we will be at Hull on Thursday to see what the RFL can throw at us this week.
And yes it will be a poor away attendance, blame SKY for making fans travel on Thursday night's, and the fact we finished top last year is irrelevant, if people choose not to go to Hull on a Thursday night then that's their choice. a loyal handful will be there !!
I think the team needs to look at the areas they can control in order to close games out, there were opportunities in that game to take it further away from Saints and it not come down to a drop goal.
For example the penalty that they decided to run instead of kick, despite being a team that kicks at goal more than any other. Add in Danny Brough's kicking in general which has been off all season so far, moments of brilliance followed my moments of madness.
The McGillvary incident was unfair and he should not have been penalised, but acting petulant and not professional only exasperated the situation.
For the majority of that game the Giants were on top and it wasn't just a case of Saints not playing well, it was a case of the Giants not allowing them to play well. They need to repeat that to win on Thursday and get a bit of confidence.
I can see why they elected not to kick- we've chosen that route and it's backfired a few times this season! Hindsight is a wonderful thing....
Discipline is a real issue- and I think it's being coached as the academy lads were equally as ill sciplined on Saturday and it cost them. Field position should not be handed to a team because you give away silly penalties.
