He looks to have a pretty impressive CV to me, having worked with the Storm these past three years. I certainly hope he'll be another piece in this highly impressive Wigan jigsaw the club are putting together.

Well if he has experience with working with the likes of Inglis, Falou etc and the likes of youngsters Melbourne seem to have then he is surely a good recruit to have incharge of looking for talent within a pool like Wigans area

It all makes sense now. IL said, in response to a question at the shareholders meeting that they were actively pursuing someone from Australia to look at the scouting and development systems.

This is exactely what all SL clubs should be doing, this young man will have benefitted from working with the best setup in Oz, All SL clubs should sponsor their coaching staff (especially at Acadamy level) to develope skills and expertise, just hope RU don't come and recruit him from SL. Good luck to the lad.

The most shocking thing about all this effort Wigan are putting into youth development and overall growth as a club is that we are not one of the clubs who has to do it.

If only all the other clubs were so thorough in everything they do, we would have a great competition.

I played with John at Ashton before he went to Australia, cracking prop and a super bloke. He worked at Wigan with the Community side of things and he seemed to love working for the club. Superb acquisition (sp?) IMO, a Wigan lad working for the club he loves.

Any chance you can come back to Ashton while your coming home John?

I'm pretty sure John comes from Barrow, or that neck of the woods.
Not a Wiganer that's for sure but still good to have him back.
