Kirke starting at prop in place of the missing Leuluai which hints that he's ahead of Griffin and Achurch for the 4th prop spot in the 17 come the season opener.

Not opting to start Bailey may suggest that he's not considering having him as a starting prop yet as some had hoped for this season and that it will still be Peacock & Leuluai as starters (if fit).

Can't see Achurch playing prop, looks better suited to a wider running second rower spot.

I'd say Clarkson is most at risk of losing out, along with one of Bailey or Griffin. No need for an extra prop at loose forward now Ablett is released back into the pack full time.

I agree entirely about Achruch Andy but I can see them playing him at prop because "he's big". Coaches frustrate the heck out of me with this. Had we signed Menninga at his peack I'm sure we'd have played him at prop.
