Oh no. One of the few decent radio programmes has been shifted, to make way for the achingly dull Jo Whiley, and her morbid fixation for all things indie. Radcliffe and Maconie's show was entertaining and (at times, pretty funny) with great banter.
Just Ken Bruce left for me now (twice popmaster winner).

Radio 1 and 2 are absolute dogpooh radio stations. As long as it doesn't ruin the high standard of Cocker's or Laverne's shows on the better BBC channels, i am fine with it. And Jo Whiley is, IMO, the biggest disgrace in this country. Does she not realize she is a 45 year old, annoying Loud mouth with absolutely NO musical taste. In fact link that to the gears thread.

That is a crap decision, on both counts.

Radio 2 has been going down the drain for a few years now. Only programme thats worth a listen is Saturday morning "Sounds of The Sixties".
During the week,as soon as Steve Wright comes on I turn it over to Radio 6.

Twice popmaster winner !!!, now that is impressive (damn name the year).

Seems a strange move for Whiley, especially with the success live lounges currently have, although Fearne cotton now does these so probably felt it was time to go to the more 'mature' station.
Do wonder why Radio one doesn't just go private, functions like any other commercial radio station in content and style.
