Just been told by one of my Wigan friends

about a young half-back called Joe Mellor,hes from Warrington , but playing for the Pies,heard hecould be very good , maybe worth a look ,along with young Gareth OBrien , from the Wire,has anyone heard or seen other possible Duals?Does anyone know who if anybody scouts for young talent for Leigh ?

yes we have another one planned, it was for 3 years the arrangement with the pies wasnt it?

The lads been out injured for a long time, but ive been told he back now fully fit and raring to go, could be worth a look

, iknow we are not the Pies best Buds , but i dont care , if they are decent players, and ive been told this lad has potential.

Id suspect the 4 dual players we are having are already in the bag!

I don't think that other than a bit of fan rivalry there is any real malice between the clubs off the field, we have played each other in freindlies recently. I think that a talented young player whose had a bad injury would suit both clubs spending next year as a dual-reg at Leigh.

what about bringing our own players thru instead of a sl sides

Is it worthwhile having a halfback under dual contract? There going to be the pivotal area to our attacking side and could be drifting in and out of the team - I'd prefer to try and build a partnership which will be steady bar injuries.

At the last LISA meeting IM said that we would be going with 3 from warrington and 1 from Saints again, if this is the case then I can't see Mellor coming.
