Good to see Barrow gave Hunslet a good thumping at the weekend. Essential we follow suit after a free weekend to work on our systems with a team of almost strangers.


With Batley playing Sheffield, hopefully we can close the gap on one of them. 

Last week gives grounds to be optimistic and hopefully Sid and Louis back.

I am hoping for a win here, the first since March. The players got to have the weekend off so they should be fresh.
I was told last Thursday Sid and Lewis should be back, this should give us a lift too.
So fingers crossed.

Must win game. After last week I’d expect a result but the bottom four, of which we are one, are becoming detached from the rest so we appear to be looking at some games against L1 sides to stay in the league. 

If we have anything going for us, we are entering the 2nd half of the season where we are generally stronger having bedded in yet another new team. We just need to get a win to kick-start our progress so Hunslet comes at a good time. Having said that, we are still a couple of bad injuries from disaster. 

Can’t work out how to create a new thread but has anyone else heard the rumour it could be London Hounds? Now coming up with a new name ain’t easy but I’d like to hear the thinking behind it before I sign off on it. 

In fairness the thinking behind it could have been I wonder if taking this glue will affect my decision making. Bit different I suppose in a crowded landscape. Logo design would be important. 

Hounds?Seriously?

The one thing I’m clear on: don’t repeat the ‘we are Broncos’ campaign with the new name. It would be an own goal.

A few years back I posited the idea of running new ideas, for instance part time squad/huge new stadium, past a grown up 3rd party to see if they thought it was s**t idea  I wasn’t  expecting it to have relevance post DH era but…. Anyway Let’s see how this plays out.
