Tonights crowd was superb.

Yes, I know that Wigan made some sort of deal with Heinz for the North Stand, but we were up over 3500 on this fixture compared to last year.

were there ANY Quins fans there? Seriously i usually see a group of about 10 in the north end of the east stand but couldnt see any today

It made for a much better atmosphere so fair play to the club and to Heinz.

I'd give the North stand to under privilaged kids or something like that next week. It's good PR for the club and a better atmosphere brings better preformences out of the players imo.

Some fella in the Halfway House in Pem gave me two tickets for the north stand and thought that, despite the lack of atmosphere' it was a fun experience to watch the game from a different angle. Also there was far more than 14,900 on tonight. I'd say around 17k,

Just give 5500 free tickets away in schools like latics do for pretty much every game.

It was a good move the Heinz deal. Made it feel more of a game than it would have done with an empty stand. Hope it's repeated.
