I think in general he has far more good games than bad, compared to the ineptnes of Alibert, Hicks or that other young one (not Child). put it this way, i dont say 'oh no' when he is announced as the games ref.
Funny how we all see things differently.

It's on Sky, so it's inevitable that at some point, Ganson will do something to grab attention; let's just hope it's to them and not us.

Thaler, Ganson & Silverwood are the better refs, I actually think James Child can become a very good ref a bit to go yet.

Alibert is shocking and I think a large part of that is down to Mr Cummings hanging him out to dry for his mis-count earlier this year. Yes it was a bad bad error, but the sanctions should have been private, the poor guy has no confidence in his own judgement.

For your match against Leeds you really wanted Silverwood - he is a Leeds fan but overcompensates in trying to not show favour. Failing that its a toss up between Thaler & Ganson, though Ganson may put on a TV special (he is much better in non-televised matches imo).

Having seen Leeds surrender to Giants on Sunday I think you have a very good chance, but you need to be at your best as they are capable of beating anyone when they click.

I didn't notice anyone complaining about Thaler's performance on Saturday. I thought he did well.

Sinfield hardly ever speaks out of turn or back-chats to the ref. He might talk to the ref quite a lot, but he always does this within the laws and as captain of the side he is fully entitled to speak to the ref. You might not like it, but he doesn't (generally) break any laws!

Ganson seeks attention by giving dubious decisions usually against the favourite. Plus he's the sort of ref that won't listen to the whingings of Sinfield.

The sun really does shine out his every orifice? Him and Wellens should start a little club!

Personally, I do think he probably does speak to the ref too much but the point about this is that he doesn't do it out of turn, never shouts or swears at the ref, or gets in his face. The rules allow every team captain to ask the ref for an explanation of his decisions, the worst thing Sinfield ever does his pull & face and shrugs his shoulders when he disagrees.
