Probably the biggest derby in 40 years, since the John Player final at Boothferry Park, January 1985. We had to draw each other again at some point and so it is now.
If this draw had come out twelve months ago I would have being dreading a ritual humiliation on our own patch, but we are a very different brand of gravy in 2025 and after three dispiriting defeats last year we will come out looking for redemption on a pretty large stage and event for the City.
With Wire & Saints coming out together also, whoever wins our clash is really going to fancy their chances of going all the way. I'm feeling nervous/excited already and the draw's only just being made!! This is going to dominate the narrative for both clubs over the next three weeks, how are we going to concentrate on anything else!!!
