I would have rested lynch and Westerman and played wilson and starling.

The team still isnt clicking and making wholesale changes wont benefit us at all......put out a strong squad and hammer them.

Gentle alluded earlier in the week that it would be a strong squad so I aren't too surprised that there's not many youngsters. I'm also recalling Adam Pearson making a comment prior to the season starting that he was targeting a trip to Wembley this year so maybe that's in PG's mind too and he's not willing to take too many chances.

He is, I know you watched the other week, but wasnt impressed, but I seen him him play loads of times in the last few years and most of his games this year. He also looked ready when he played in the friendly and while making his SL debut last year, the coaches also think so too.

I would have thrown more youngsters in the squad. Probably the two you mentioned. The standard in Championship and below is dire i'm afraid and they would easily do a good enough job. Look at the squad that played York in the friendly. I know it was only a friendly but York had their 1st team playing.



He isn't for SL but i think he would do a good enough job against crusaders.

It was also a pre-season friendly. I think you're being quite disrespectful to the Championships there. It is actually quite a strong standard.

It was a pre season friendly for Hull FC as well with no first team players. I watch all levels of rugby league and there's too much of a gap between SL and championship. A handful of under 19's at SL teams would stroll into championship teams. No offence. It's just my point of view and i don't think i'm far off. Something does need to be done however to reduce the gap if possible.
